Roma forward Matías Soulé has given a defining statement on his international allegiance in an interview with Il Messaggero (via Alfredo Pedullà), declaring that his heart is fully set on representing Argentina.
While he admits former Italy coach Luciano Spalletti once discussed his situation, Soulé insists those contacts were limited and never swayed his focus.
He recalled: “Two years ago I spoke with Spalletti and told him I want to play for Argentina — that is my idea.”
