Xavi Hernandez is commonly heralded as one of the greatest midfielders to have played the game. He was Barcelona’s record appearance maker before going on to end his career at Al Sadd in Qatar. But in a recent interview given to Cronache di Spogliatoio (via calciomercato.com), he revealed that he was close to playing in Italy twice in his career.
