Celtic Confirm Martin O’Neill Appointment

Celtic have confirmed the permanent appointment of Martin O’Neill as the club’s new head coach.
The 74-year-old, who stepped in as interim manager following the departure of Wilfried Nancy in January, has signed a one-year contract with the option of a further season.
O’Neill successfully steadied the ship at Parkhead last season, guiding the Glasgow giants to a domestic double as they clinched their 56th Scottish Premiership title and lifted the Scottish Cup.
It marks a permanent return to a familiar dugout for O’Neill, who famously managed the club between 2000 and 2005, and also stepped in briefly following Brendan Rodgers’ departure in October.
