As a club legend at Bayern Munich, Thomas Müller was part of some historic performances against FC Barcelona, so it might surprise some to learn that the Raumdeuter would have packed his bags and joined the Catalans if Hansi Flick would have called him.
In a recent interview with Blickpunkt Sport, Müller said he could have “imagined” a future playing with Robert Lewandowski under Flick in Catalonia.
“I could have imagined a future in Barcelona,” Muller said. “If Hansi Flick, who knows me very well, had called me and I had liked the project in Barcelona, I could have imagined something like this. FC Barcelona are a top club. People know what they expect of you.”
