It’s official: the La Liga match between Villarreal and Barcelona will be played at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, USA.
La Liga has been pushing to host a match in the United States for several years, but on occasions in 2023 and 2024, they did not receive the required approval for the event to become a reality. However, the case is different in 2025.
Earlier this week, UEFA reluctantly gave their approval for the match to take place, which meant that only FIFA’s sign-off was needed.
