Bayern Munich Frauen midfielder Momoko Tanikawa has extended her contract until 2029.
The Nagoya native, who just turned twenty last May, is now set to spend her foreseeable future in the Bavarian capital.
The young Japanese starlet had first signed with Bayern in January 2024, before spending a year at Swedish side Rosengård. She returned to Munich at the beginning of this year and hit the ground running, contributing heavily to the Frauen’s domestic double last season. She also led Bayern to victory in the inaugural World Sevens tournament, winning the Top Scorer and Best Player awards as well.
