Oxford United: Cameron Brannagan – U’s ‘nowhere near good enough’

Oxford United midfielder Cameron Brannagan says they can’t expect to just turn up and win games, after a 3-0 defeat by Stoke City at the Kassam Stadium.

Two goals from midfielder Lewis Baker and a strike from the returning Steven N’Zonzi led the Potters to an emphatic victory.

Brannagan told BBC Radio Oxford the U’s performance was “nowhere near good enough”.

“We didn’t lay a glove on them to be honest, it was nowhere near our standards,” he said.

“We’re not good enough to just turn up and win games. We addressed that in there and we need to be better on Saturday [at West Brom] because that was nowhere near good enough.”

Oxford went into the game off the back of a win at Sheffield Wednesday…
