Bild reports Borussia Mönchengladbach are interested in making the loan of midfielder Yannik Engelhardt permanent.
The 26-year-old moved to Borussia Park in the summer on a loan from Serie A side Como and has already made himself a key player in the middle of the park.
Now, Gladbach are trying to keep Engelhardt permanently, with soon-to-be permanent head coach Eugen Polanski pushing for his signature.
There is no buy option in Engelhardt’s loan agreement, but Como will be open to negotiations from around €4.5m, as his contract in Northern Italy is valid until 2027.
