Former Mainz and Union Berlin head coach Bo Svensson has rejected two job offers.
Florian Plettenberg reports that Union Saint-Gilloise had identified the Dane as a successor to Sébastien Pocognoli – who was appointed as AS Monaco’s head coach on Sunday – but he declined the offer after wanting to bring in his own coaching staff.
Additionally, Svensson was of interest to Rangers, who recently dismissed Russell Martin. The 46-year-old, who was behind Steven Gerrard in their list of candidates, decided against joining the Scottish side.
