Gladbach proud of its fight in loss to Bayern Munich

Borussia Mönchengladbach knew it had a tough task in facing off with Bayern Munich, but an early red card complicated things further.

The Bavarians would ultimately walk away with a 3-0 victory and Gladbach could only pick up the pieces afterward.

“No coach is satisfied after losing. We know how good Bayern are. Our goal was to prevent Bayern from looking good, so I’m proud of our performance today,” said Gladbach head coach Eugen Polanski.
