Hull City assistant head coach Dean Holden has heaped praise on in-form Joe Gelhardt and says the on-loan Leeds United forward is hungry for more goals during the hectic winter schedule.
Hull host Ipswich Town on Tuesday, the first of eight league matches between now and the turn of the year.
Gelhardt scored the opening goal at Loftus Road in Hull’s 3-2 Championship defeat by QPR on Saturday, his eighth goal of the season and his sixth in his past seven appearances.
Only Coventry’s Brandon Thomas-Asante and Derby’s Carlton Morris have scored more in the division this season, and Gelhardt has also chipped in with two league assists.
