Adrien Rabiot (30) has called his Olympique de Marseille exit “incomprehensible” and “a form of betrayal” in an interview with RTL France.
A year after joining Marseille as a free agent, Rabiot was shown the exit door, returning to Italy, where he would become an AC Milan player. The midfielder had been a part of Marseille’s squad last season, helping the team plot their return to the UEFA Champions League.
However, the fallout from an opening day defeat to Stade Rennais would quickly pull the curtain shut on his involvement in Marseille’s 2025/26 campaign. In the dressing room, Rabiot would be involved in a physical altercation with teammate Jonathan Rowe.
