What had been treated as a matter of due course heading into the current international break is now official. Borussia Mönchengladbach have installed Eugen Polanski as their permanent head coach. The 39-year-old signed a contract valid through 2028 on Tuesday. Polanski began his playing career with his current Bundesliga outfit.
After retirement in 2018, the German-raised Polish international came up through the Gladbach coaching ranks. He coached the BMG reserve side for over three years before being promoted to coach Gladbach proper after Gerardo Seoane’s sacking this past September.
