Portsmouth FC: Conor Shaughnessy on track with recovery

Portsmouth defender Conor Shaughnessy says his recovery from injury is going to plan.

The 29-year-old has been out since suffering a hamstring injury in a 2-0 home defeat by Sheffield Wednesday in September.

“It’s coming along as planned, I’ve been out on the grass running in the past week which is a big positive step,” he told BBC Radio Solent’s podcast ‘Who Needs Mourinho?’

“In the next few weeks It’s about building up fitness to get back into training – I haven’t asked the physios for an exact date as I don’t want to be let down when we get to that date.”
