Radek Vitek: Manchester United keeper says his ‘goal’ is to stay with Bristol City all season

Vitek, a Czech Republic under-20 international, arrived at Ashton Gate with number one keeper Max O’Leary out with a long-term injury.

O’Leary had started every minute of every league match for the past two seasons at the club but now back fit has been unable to take a place in the starting XI back from Vitek.

While Vitek had a spell on loan with Accrington Stanley in League Two last season playing 18 matches, he said his time in the Championship had allowed him to take another “step forward” in his development.
