Riyad Mahrez’s wife Taylor Ward gives birth to their first son – his fourth child – before he heads off on football duty

Riyad Mahrez was late in joining up with Algeria’s national team after his wife Taylor Ward gave birth.

Mahrez, 34, switched Manchester City for Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli in 2023 and he continues to shine in the Middle East.

The forward has also won 106 caps for Algeria, who last month qualified for next summer’s World Cup – and he is their captain.
