A total of six Serie A clubs are currently at risk of having their incoming transfer market blocked as early as January due to a tightening of financial regulations, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

Beyond Lazio, the five other clubs facing this potential transfer block are Napoli, Atalanta, Fiorentina, Torino, and Genoa.

The core issue stems from changes to the league’s “Expanded Labor Cost” (CLA) to Revenue (R) ratio indicator. Following a recent Federal Council decision, the threshold for this ratio has been aggressively lowered to 70%.
