Southampton boss Will Still has urged his players to “believe” in themselves more after a tough start to the season.
The Saints have only won two games in the Championship this campaign, drawing five times and losing twice.
They are 17th in the table with 11 points after nine games.
“We need to believe in ourselves a bit more and have confidence in what we’re doing,” he told BBC Radio Solent.
“We can’t feel sorry for ourselves when things aren’t quite going the way we want them to go, we have to keep working.
“You don’t turn a season of so many losses into something brilliant and beautiful in the space of a few months.”
