Bayern Munich crowned Bundesliga champions for 35th time after Stuttgart win

Bayern Munich have been crowned Bundesliga champions for a record-extending 35th time after a 4-2 victory over VfB Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena.

Vincent Kompany’s side secured the title with four matches to spare, capitalizing on Borussia Dortmund’s 2-1 slip-up against Hoffenheim on Saturday. The victory moves Bayern 15 points clear at the summit, marking a triumphant return to dominance after last season’s relinquishing of the crown.

Kompany’s ‘Goal Machine

Despite resting key personnel—including Harry Kane and Michael Olise—with Wednesday’s DFB-Pokal semi-final against Bayer Leverkusen in mind, Bayern showed the ruthless depth that has defined their campaign.

They were briefly stunned when Chris Führich fired the visitors ahead after 20 minutes, but the response was a clinical three-goal blitz in just six minutes. Raphaël Guerreiro leveled with a curling effort before Nicolas Jackson and Alphonso Davies put the game beyond doubt before the interval.Harry Kane, introduced as a half-time substitute, added a fourth in the 52nd minute—his 32nd league goal of a stellar campaign—to start the party in the stands.

Rebuilding the Dynasty

This title represents a personal vindication for Vincent Kompany. Arriving under a cloud of skepticism last summer, the Belgian has transformed Bayern into a high-octane offensive juggernaut, netting 109 goals in just 30 league games.

The summer recruitment of Luis Díaz from Liverpool and the clinical form of Nicolas Jackson have added a fresh dimension to an attack that was already the most feared in Europe. Díaz, in particular, has been a revelation, providing the creative spark that has seen Bayern lose just once in the league all season.

Player of the Match: LUIZ Diaz

Bayern manager Vincent Kompany reaction after the match…

When I came here, people talked about the pressure of this club. But pressure is a privilege. We wanted to bring the trophy back to Munich where it belongs, and we wanted to do it with a style that makes the fans proud. We aren’t finished yet; we have a cup semi-final in three days and European ambitions to fulfill.”

Harry kane…. “It’s a special feeling. Every title is hard-earned, and after last year, we had a point to prove. The manager has been incredible, and the way the boys have performed today shows the hunger in this squad.”
