Juventus Agrees Personal Terms with Alexander Sørloth

Juventus have reached an agreement in principle on personal terms with Atletico Madrid striker Alexander Sorloth.

The Italian giants have opened formal negotiations with Atletico as they look to secure the Norwegian international, who scored 13 goals in 35 La Liga appearances last season.

While personal terms are not expected to be a barrier with Sorloth offered a three-year contract worth around €4m (£3.4m) per season striking a deal with the Spanish club may prove more complicated.

Atletico are understood to value the 30-year-old forward at around €30m (£25.6m).

However, negotiations could be smoothed by the inclusion of midfielder Nicolas Gonzalez. The Argentina international spent last season on loan in Madrid from Juventus, and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano suggests Gonzalez could be used as a makeweight in a potential part-exchange deal.

Juventus are in the market for attacking reinforcements following the news that first-choice striker Dusan Vlahovic will leave the club at the end of June when his current contract expires.

Sorloth, a well-travelled frontman whose former clubs include Villarreal, Real Sociedad and RB Leipzig, has emerged as a primary target for the Turin club alongside Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani
