Oxford United part company with Matt Bloomfield
Oxford United have parted company with head coach Matt Bloomfield following their relegation to League One.
Bloomfield took charge at the Kassam Stadium in January 2026, overseeing the second half of the 2025/26 campaign as the U’s ultimately failed to retain their Championship status.
In a statement, the club praised Bloomfield for his professional approach and effective work during his short tenure.
Oxford United thanked the manager for his efforts, wishing him well for the future, and confirmed the search for his successor will begin in the near future.
