Moore, once on the books at Cardiff, wasted no time making his mark against his former club, firing home inside the opening three minutes after latching onto a long ball from Danny Imray. It was a goal that has become something of a habit for the striker, with his seventh strike against Cardiff in his career — more than he has scored against any other opponent.
Wrexham looked the more dangerous side for long periods, going close to a second when Moore glanced a header against the crossbar from a corner, while Callum Doyle also forced a smart save from Nathan Trott with a header from close range.
