Real Madrid loan moves with Mastantuono and Asencio set to exit

Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has finalised his squad plans for the 2026-27 season following a series of individual meetings with his players during pre-season.
According to Spanish journalist Arancha Rodríguez, Mourinho has outlined the role of each squad member within his new project. Highly-rated youngsters Franco Mastantuono and defender Raul Asencio are set to be sent out on loan to secure regular first-team football.
However, youth striker Gonzalo Garcia will remain with the senior squad for the upcoming campaign after impressing the Portuguese manager during the preparation period.
Real Madrid’s hierarchy has indicated they will not make any further additions in the current transfer window unless existing players depart. The club is prioritising economic and technical balance, meaning any further arrivals will entirely depend on outgoings.
The La Liga club have already significantly bolstered their squad this summer, completing deals for Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konaté, Denzel Dumfries and Bernardo Silva.
