Chelsea complete £117m signing of Morgan Rogers

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of England forward Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa on a long-term contract running until the summer of 2033.
The 23-year-old arrives at Stamford Bridge in a £117m deal, strengthening manager Xabi Alonso’s squad ahead of the 2026-27 season.
”I am extremely excited,” Rogers said. “For me, Chelsea is the biggest club in London, and it’s a team I have admired since my childhood.
”I am excited about the new project with the coach, the quality of the players here, and the direction the club is heading. That’s why I am here, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Rogers joins having established himself as a leading attacking talent in the Premier League. Across 85 league appearances for Aston Villa, he contributed 40 goals and assists, helping the Midlands club secure a top-four finish before lifting the Europa League trophy last season.
On the international stage, Rogers has become a key fixture for England since making his debut in November 2024. He has earned 22 caps for the Three Lions and recently featured at the 2026 World Cup.
