Juventus Sign Pape Matar Sarr From Tottenham on Loan

Juventus have confirmed the signing of Senegal midfielder Pape Matar Sarr from Tottenham.

The move has been completed on loan until 30 June 2027 for a fee of €2.5m, plus an additional €300,000 in costs, according to a statement from the Serie A club.

The agreement includes an obligation to make the deal permanent, which will be triggered upon certain conditions being met during the 2026-27 season, with Juventus then paying €27.5m over three financial years for the player’s registration.

Sarr, 23, arrives in Turin with plenty of European experience under his belt and will turn 24 later this September.

He began his career in Senegal before moving to FC Metz, where he impressed at a young age and drew the attention of several European clubs. He joined Tottenham in 2021, though he spent a further season on loan in Ligue 1 before making the move to England.

Known for his dynamism and versatility in midfield, as well as his physical strength, Sarr made more than 100 Premier League appearances for Tottenham and was part of the squad that won the Europa League in 2024-25.

At international level, Sarr has become a key figure for Senegal, helping his country win the Africa Cup of Nations in 2022.

He now begins a new chapter in his career after completing his move to Juventus from Tottenham.
