Aston Villa Complete Nicolas Jackson Signing from Chelsea
Aston Villa have completed the signing of Senegal international Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea in a deal reported to be worth around €75m.
The 25-year-old forward has put pen to paper on a five-year contract, with the option of a further year, marking the end of his two-year spell at Stamford Bridge.
Jackson’s move finally reunites him with Unai Emery, who has long admired the striker from their time together in La Liga. The transfer is understood to be worth an initial £47.5m, with a further £17.5m available in add-ons.
The deal represents a healthy profit for Chelsea, who signed Jackson from Villarreal for around £32m back in 2023. He went on to make 81 appearances in all competitions for the Blues, scoring 30 goals during his time in west London.
Villa will now be hoping the Senegalese forward can add further firepower to their attack as Emery looks to build on last season’s progress.
