The Brazilian defender powered home Francisco Conceicao’s inswinging cross in the 22nd minute to give the visitors a deserved lead.

Just two minutes earlier, Randal Kolo Muani had squandered a golden opportunity to put Juve ahead, blazing over from close range following Bremer’s flick-on at the near post.

Luciano Spalletti’s side came agonizingly close to doubling their advantage shortly before the break. Pierre Kalulu saw his strike deflected onto the upright, before Frosinone goalkeeper Lorenzo Palmisani reacted quickly to deny Kenan Yildiz on the rebound.

Perin was spared immediate heartbreak on his arrival when Gabriele Calvani’s header smashed off the crossbar, allowing Spalletti’s men to cling on for all three points.
