Lens Sign 23 Year Old Algerian Midfielder Yassine Titraoui

RC Lens have officially confirmed the signing of 23-year-old midfielder Yassine Titraoui from Belgian side Charleroi, securing the Algerian international on a long-term contract running through 2031. According to Transfermarkt, the French club paid an €8 million transfer fee to complete the deal.

A product of Algeria’s Paradou AC academy, Titraoui made the move to Charleroi in 2024. Over 74 appearances for the Belgian outfit, he registered seven goals and five assists. On the international stage, he has represented the Algerian national team on five occasions.

Speaking on the new arrival, Lens Sporting Director Jean-Louis Leca praised the young midfielder’s profile and potential:

”We are delighted to complete the signing of Yassine, a player we have monitored for quite some time and who chose our project over competing offers. His technical ability is outstanding, and he has proven to be one of Belgium’s most impressive midfielders over the last two seasons. He brings fantastic composure under pressure and an eagerness to break lines and drive forward. Off the pitch, he is a humble, hard-working character highly regarded by everyone around him. At 23, he represents the future of both Algeria and Lens.”
