Man Utd Close In on Carlos Baleba Deal

Manchester United are closing in on a deal for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba, with personal terms already agreed as talks over a transfer fee continue to progress.
The Cameroon international, who is contracted to the Seagulls until June 2028 and valued at around €55m, has emerged as a priority target for United this summer. The Old Trafford club have tabled an offer of £60m plus £5m in add-ons, though David Ornstein reports the bid remains below Brighton’s valuation, even as negotiations move forward.
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg says United have reached a full agreement with the 22-year-old on personal terms, but a final agreement with Brighton has yet to be struck, meaning the green light for a medical has not been given.
Journalist Ben Jacobs added that discussions between the two clubs are at an advanced stage, with United increasingly optimistic that a deal can be finalised in the coming days.
