Napoli complete permanent €44m signing of Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United

Napoli have exercised their option to sign striker Rasmus Hojlund on a permanent deal from Manchester United.
The Italian club’s qualification for next season’s Champions League automatically triggered the purchase clause in the 23-year-old Denmark international’s loan agreement.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Napoli will pay an outright fee of €44m (£37.5m). This is in addition to the €6m loan fee paid to United last August, bringing the total value of the package to €50m.
Hojlund, who wears the number 19 shirt, enjoyed a highly productive campaign in Italy after moving to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
He opened his account for the club with a debut goal against Fiorentina on 13 September, setting the tone for a season in which he scored 16 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions.
The forward also played a pivotal role in Napoli’s silverware success this term, scoring in the semi-final against AC Milan to help secure the Supercoppa Italiana.
