Como sign Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah for €36m

Como have completed the permanent signing of defender Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea for €36m.

​The 27-year-old has agreed a contract with the Italian club that runs until 2031.

​Chalobah joined Chelsea’s academy at the age of eight and progressed through the youth ranks, gaining senior experience on loan at Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town, and Lorient. He made his first-team debut for the Blues in the 2021 UEFA Super Cup, helping the team lift the trophy.

​He went on to make more than 150 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions, winning two FIFA Club World Cups and the UEFA Conference League. Capable of playing across several defensive roles, he is known for his physical strength, pace, and ability on the ball.

​At international level, Chalobah represented England throughout the youth age groups before earning his first senior cap in 2025. He was part of the England squad that finished third at the 2026 World Cup.
