Everton Extend Vitaliy Mykolenko's Contract Until 2029

Everton defender Vitaliy Mykolenko has signed a new contract extending his stay at Goodison Park until 2029.

The 27-year-old Ukrainian international’s fresh commitment has dealt a significant blow to Eintracht Frankfurt’s summer recruitment strategy. According to reports, the Bundesliga side had heavily linked Mykolenko as a primary replacement for Nathaniel Brown, who is expected to depart the German club. However, this new long-term agreement effectively ends Frankfurt’s pursuit.

Mykolenko joined the Toffees from Dynamo Kyiv in January 2022 and has since established himself as an indispensable part of the squad, making 158 appearances, scoring four goals, and providing four assists.

His defensive reliability has been key this season, with the left-back averaging one interception, 1.5 tackles, and 4.4 clearances per game to help anchor Everton’s backline
