Official: Wolves part ways with head coach Rob Edwards

Wolverhampton Wanderers have parted company with head coach Rob Edwards following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
The decision comes after an end-of-season review by the Molineux board, who concluded that a change in direction was necessary to navigate the upcoming Championship campaign.
”Following a careful review at the end of the season, the club decided that a change was needed as Wolverhampton Wanderers move to the next stage,” Wolves said in a statement.
”While we recognise the difficult circumstances faced by Edwards and his team and appreciate their commitment and professionalism, we believe a new approach offers the best way forward.”
Edwards was appointed in November 2025 but was unable to halt a dismal run of form that saw the West Midlands club finish bottom of the table, bringing a disappointing end to their eight-year stay in the top flight..
