OFFICIAL: Bayern Munich extend Laimer’s contract until 2029

Bayern Munich midfielder Konrad Laimer has signed a contract extension keeping him at the Allianz Arena until June 2029.
The Austria international, who joined the club in the summer of 2023, has established himself as a vital squad member thanks to his consistent performances and ability to operate in multiple positions.
Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl praised the midfielder’s influence both on and off the pitch.
”Konrad represents the model of a reliable player at the highest level,” Eberl said. “His abilities and personality make him an important asset to the team, alongside his capacity to motivate his team-mates and provide them with energy and enthusiasm on a daily basis.”
Sporting director Christoph Freund echoed those sentiments, highlighting Laimer’s relentless work ethic.
”We greatly value Konrad’s versatility, passion, and consistent performances,” said Freund. “He delivers standout performances season after season, never gives up on any ball, while continuously developing himself and playing a significant role in the locker room.”
Laimer has won two Bundesliga titles, the DFB-Pokal, and the DFL-Supercup during his time in Bavaria, racking up seven goals and 19 assists in 136 appearances.
The 29-year-old expressed his delight at securing his long-term future with the German giants.
”Wearing the Bayern Munich shirt is exceptional for me,” Laimer said. “I feel happy in Munich and have enjoyed playing with this group since the first day of my arrival.
”I am capable of helping the team in several positions and will continue to give my all for the club. I am confident in our ability to compete for all titles.”
Laimer also remains a key figure on the international stage, earning 61 caps and scoring seven goals for Austria. He played every minute of his country’s recent 2026 World Cup campaign, which ended in the round of 32 against eventual champions Spain.
