Karim Adeyemi arrives Barcelona for his Medical
Germany forward Karim Adeyemi has arrived in Barcelona to finalise his transfer to the La Liga giants.
The 24-year-old flew into Barcelona-El Prat airport on a private jet from Dortmund alongside his family, ahead of becoming the club’s second signing of the summer transfer window.
According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Adeyemi will undergo a medical on Thursday before the move is officially confirmed.
Barcelona have agreed a €22m (£18.5m) fee with Borussia Dortmund, with a further €7m (£5.9m) in potential add-ons. The German club will also retain a 30% sell-on clause on any profit from a future transfer.
Adeyemi, who has supported Barcelona since childhood, is set to sign a five-year contract keeping him at the club until the summer of 2031.
The move reunites the forward with Barca head coach Hansi Flick, who handed Adeyemi his senior international debut for Germany.
Once the transfer is completed, he will join pre-season training, though his official presentation will be delayed until next week. Barcelona president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco are currently in the United States attending the World Cup final.
