Trabzonspor Open Talks to Sign Karim Benzema from Al Hilal
Trabzonspor have opened talks over a potential move for Karim Benzema, with the Turkish club making initial enquiries about the terms of a deal to sign the French striker from Saudi side Al Hilal, according to Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu.
The report claims Trabzonspor’s hierarchy contacted representatives to establish the conditions surrounding a possible transfer after Benzema’s name was put forward to the club, with parallel discussions now under way to explore whether an agreement can be reached.
The interest comes as Trabzonspor continue working to finalise a separate deal for Darwin Núñez, even as recent developments suggest the Uruguayan forward is edging closer to a loan switch to Saudi club Al-Dhariyah.
Talks over Benzema remain at an early, exploratory stage, with no agreement yet in place, but Trabzonspor’s interest raises the prospect of further twists in the Turkish transfer window as the club looks to bolster its attacking options.
