Hull City Join Race for Lyon Winger Malick Fofana

Hull City, backed by Turkish owner Acun Ilıcalı, have moved into the race to sign Lyon winger Malick Fofana, according to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu.

The Championship club are reported to have opened talks over a deal for the 21-year-old Belgian, though Lyon are said to be holding out for a fee in the region of €35m.

Fofana has established himself as one of Ligue 1’s most exciting attacking talents, known for his pace and directness out wide, and remains under contract at the French club until 2028.

It is not yet clear whether Hull will be willing to meet Lyon’s asking price, with the winger also attracting interest from a number of clubs across Europe, including Roma.
