Borussia Dortmund step up pursuit of Karim Adeyemi replacement
Borussia Dortmund have begun planning for life after Karim Adeyemi by opening talks to sign Cologne’s teenage forward Saeed Al-Mulla.
According to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have already agreed personal terms with Adeyemi, but a transfer fee has yet to be finalized between the two clubs.
The German side are understood to have rejected Barcelona’s opening offer of €20m, prompting continued negotiations as the Catalan giants look to secure the forward during the summer window.
Dortmund’s pursuit of 19-year-old Al-Mulla indicates they are preparing for Adeyemi’s departure, with the Cologne player reported to be open to a move to Signal Iduna Park.
Talks between Dortmund and Cologne are ongoing and focused on the financial structure of the deal, though no final agreements have been reached for either transfer.
