Carlos Baleba Completes Manchester United Transfer From Brighton
Manchester United has officially confirmed the signing of Cameroonian midfielder Carlos Baleba from Brighton & Hove Albion, subject to registration.
The 22-year-old has committed to a long-term contract running through June 2031, with an option to extend for a further year.
In an official statement, United highlighted Baleba’s rapid rise as one of the Premier League’s most complete midfielders. During the 2024/25 season, he proved vital to Brighton’s successful qualification for the UEFA Europa Conference League. Featuring in 31 league matches, he ranked among the top 8% of Premier League players for tackles and interceptions, placed fourth overall for progressive carries per 90 minutes, and landed in the top 1% for recovering second balls.
