Everton sign midfielder Christian Nørgaard from Arsenal for £7m

Everton have completed the signing of Danish midfielder Christian Nørgaard from Arsenal for a fee of £7m.
The midfielder has signed a contract running until June 2028.
Nørgaard, who won the Premier League title with Arsenal last season and has earned 41 international caps for Denmark, brings extensive top-flight experience following spells across Denmark, Germany, Italy, and England.
Speaking after finalizing the move, Nørgaard expressed his delight at joining the club, citing Everton’s project and conversations with manager David Moyes as pivotal factors in his decision. He added that he is eager to play in front of the supporters at the team’s new stadium having previously featured there as an opponent.
The midfielder also revealed that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta spoke warmly of both Everton and Moyes, sharing fond memories from his own playing career on Merseyside to help persuade him to make the transfer.
Nørgaard becomes Everton’s fourth arrival of the summer transfer window, following the acquisitions of Merlin Roll, Tyreek George, and Hayden Hackney, as the club look to push for European qualification next season.
