Official: Barcelona Signs Karim Adeyemi
Barcelona have completed the signing of Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi on a contract running until the summer of 2031.
The 24-year-old Germany international joins the Catalan giants as manager Hansi Flick seeks to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new season.
In a statement on their official website, Barcelona praised Adeyemi’s versatility across the front line, highlighting his ability to play effectively both out wide and as a central striker. The club added that his explosive pace and strong left foot will offer vital tactical flexibility in attack.
The transfer reunites Adeyemi with Flick, who handed the forward his senior international debut for Germany during his time as national team head coach, while Adeyemi was playing for Red Bull Salzburg.
Adeyemi arrives in La Liga with substantial top-flight experience following four seasons in the Bundesliga with Dortmund. He has been a regular fixture in Europe, racking up 48 Champions League appearances—which included two matches against Barcelona in the most recent campaign.
After featuring in Germany’s World Cup qualification campaign, the forward arrives in Spain with strong ambitions to continue his development under Flick and compete for top honors.
