Nicolò Zaniolo signs new Udinese contract until 2029
Udinese playmaker Nicolò Zaniolo has signed a new long-term contract extending his stay at the Serie A club until the summer of 2029.
The deal includes an option to extend the Italy international’s contract for a further two years until 2031.
Udinese previously activated a €5m buyout clause to secure Zaniolo on a permanent transfer from Galatasaray following an impressive initial loan spell, during which he scored six goals and provided six assists in 33 appearances.
The former Roma man has quickly become a key figure under manager Costa Roncaglia, with Udinese viewing him as central to their ambitions of qualifying for European competition in the coming seasons.
The extension represents a welcome period of career stability for the midfielder after a nomadic stretch in recent years.
Before putting down roots in Udine, Zaniolo had spells at Roma, Galatasaray, Aston Villa, Atalanta, and Fiorentina.
