Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Vinicius Junior over a new six-year contract to extend the Brazilian star’s stay at the club.
According to football journalist Fabrizio Romano, all details of the deal have been finalised following positive discussions, with the verbal agreement now in its final stages ahead of an official announcement.
Vinicius had made clear his desire to remain at the Bernabeu from the outset, while Real Madrid president Florentino Perez views the forward as a central pillar of the club’s long-term project.
Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho is also understood to have pushed hard to retain the Brazilian, regarding the winger as a key element of his side.
