Hoffenheim sign midfielder Wimmer from Wolfsburg

Hoffenheim have signed Austria international Patrick Wimmer from Bundesliga rivals Wolfsburg.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder joins for a reported fee of €10m (£8.4m), though the length of his contract has not been disclosed.
Wimmer, who featured for Austria at the World Cup, scored four goals and provided six assists in 27 appearances for Wolfsburg this season.
”Hoffenheim showed impressive progress last season, boasting an exciting team and intense, attractive football,” Wimmer said.
”What’s more, I know the coach from our time together at Austria Wien, where I became a professional footballer under Christian Ilzer. I’m delighted to be working with him again.”
During his four-year spell with Wolfsburg, Wimmer made 104 appearances in all competitions, scoring 14 goals.
The former Arminia Bielefeld and Austria Vienna winger has been capped 30 times by his country..
