Roma eye loan move for Chelsea winger Garnacho

Roma have approached Chelsea over a potential loan move for Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho, according to prominent Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà.
The 22-year-old only moved to Stamford Bridge last summer in a €46.2m switch from Manchester United, famously turning down interest from Napoli following a protracted transfer saga.
However, Garnacho’s debut campaign in west London lacked stability. While he managed eight goals and four assists in 43 appearances across all competitions, he was restricted to just 22 starts and faces no guarantees of regular first-team football in the upcoming season.
Roma are now exploring a loan deal that would include an option to buy. The Serie A club hope to use the lure of Champions League football to convince the winger, whose stance on a potential exit remains unclear.
The Italian side are actively scouring the market for wide attacking reinforcements. Marseille’s Mason Greenwood remains their primary target, but a hefty €50m price tag has forced Roma to look at alternatives, with Garnacho emerging as a key option.
