Real Madrid sign Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan on four-year deal
Real Madrid have completed the signing of Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan.
The right-back has agreed a four-year contract at the Bernabeu, keeping him with the Spanish giants until June 2030.
Madrid are understood to have triggered a €20m (£17.1m) release clause in Dumfries’ contract with the Serie A side.
An official club statement read: “Real Madrid and Inter Milan have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Denzel Dumfries, who will be contracted to our club for four seasons, until June 30, 2030.”
Dumfries is the fourth major arrival of a busy summer transfer window for Madrid, following the acquisitions of Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, and Ibrahima Konaté.
The defensive recruit is part of a significant squad rebuild under manager José Mourinho, who is tasked with returning the club to winning ways following two consecutive trophyless seasons..
