Tottenham hold talks over AC Milan winger Rafael Leao

Tottenham have held informal talks with AC Milan over a potential summer move for Portugal winger Rafael Leão.
According to The Independent, Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi is determined to recruit a new left winger, with Leão part of a three-man shortlist that also includes Bournemouth’s Illia Zabarnyi and Manchester City’s Savinho.
Zabarnyi is understood to be Tottenham’s primary target for the role, with the Bournemouth player valued at around €93m. However, Spurs have already touched base with Milan to explore the feasibility of a deal for Leão.
It comes during a summer of heavy investment in North London. Tottenham are already close to completing a club-record €116m deal, including add-ons, for Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali, alongside the acquisition of Matheus Fernandes.
Should Spurs successfully land a marquee left winger, their total spending for the summer transfer window could approach the €400m mark.
