Obolon sign Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Matkevych on loan
Obolon have completed the season-long loan signing of midfielder Andriy Matkevych from Dynamo Kyiv.
The 21-year-old becomes the club’s sixth acquisition of the summer transfer window and will wear the number seven shirt.
Matkevych developed through the youth systems at Dinaz and Dynamo Kyiv, helping Dynamo win back-to-back U19 titles in the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons. He was also part of the Ukraine squad that secured bronze at the 2024 European Under-19 Championship, and has since scored once in six caps for the nation’s Under-21 side.
The Kropyvnytskyi-born midfielder made his senior debut for Zorya Luhansk in April 2025, making 10 appearances for the club before adding a further seven matches during a loan spell with Epitsentr.
Obolon described the arrival of Matkevych as a key reinforcement for their midfield options ahead of the new campaign.
