Bologna complete loan move for Roma’s Dovbyk

Bologna have completed the signing of Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbyk on loan from Roma until 30 June 2027, with an option to make the deal permanent.
Dovbyk becomes the first Ukrainian player in the history of the Serie A club, who highlighted his blend of physical strength, clinical finishing, and intelligent movement in the penalty area.
The forward first made his mark with Ukrainian side Dnipro-1 before moving to Girona, where he enjoyed a sensational 2023-24 campaign. Dovbyk scored 24 goals to finish as La Liga’s top scorer and lead the Spanish club to a historic Champions League qualification.
That form earned him a move to Roma in the summer of 2024, where he netted 17 goals across all competitions during his debut season in the Italian capital.
Following a 2025-26 campaign disrupted by a lengthy injury, Bologna will hope the striker can rediscover his best form and bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season.
