Al-Ahli appoint Marino Pušić as new head coach

Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli have officially appointed Croatian-Dutch manager Marino Pušić as their new first-team head coach on a two-year contract running until June 2028.
Pušić arrives with extensive experience across Europe and the Middle East, having previously played for Dutch clubs Twente, AZ Alkmaar, and Feyenoord during his playing career.
His managerial highlights include leading Twente back to the Eredivisie after winning the Dutch second tier in the 2018-19 season. As assistant to Arne Slot at Feyenoord, he helped the Rotterdam side reach the UEFA Conference League final in 2021-22 before claiming the Dutch league title the following year.
During his spell in charge of Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, Pušić secured the Ukrainian Premier League title and two Ukrainian Cups, while also overseeing a memorable UEFA Champions League victory against Barcelona.
He most recently managed UAE outfit Al Jazira, where he guided the team into the AFC Champions League and ended a long wait to reach a domestic cup final.
